Life is hard. We know that. We don’t accept that but we know it. There are ways we can fix this. We can change our looks, our friends, our environment… We can change basically anything we want to make life better.
The main thing we need to do is quit some of the things we do. Some things can be toxic not only for yourself but for those around you. I bet there is someone that looks up to you. This could be a friend, kids or even animals. The last thing you want to do is set a bad example for them. Even if you don’t know that you are.
This is why I made this list of things that you need to stop doing. Tell your friends to stop doing these also. They are not good for your mental health or physical health.
I did not include anything like smoking, drinking… More on the mental side. I do wish people would stop smoking as it will hurt your lungs. However, that is someone’s choice and not mine

1. Trying to Please Everyone
This is a big no, no. If you are trying to please everyone then you will put yourself last.
Take it from my mom. She tries to please everyone, but they take advantage of that and she also never gets what she wants.
The fact is that you can’t please everyone. If you are then you are doing something very wrong. Just a simple fact, like water, is wet.
2. Fearing Change
Change is hard but it also is a huge part of life. Your body changes, friends change, work changes, leaves change…
The fact is things change. That could be a good change or a bad change. No matter what kind of change it is, know that is it for the best and that something better is coming along.
Don’t be scared because you may miss out on something great not taking that change.
3. Living in the Past
Past means gone by in time and no longer exists. The past is the past and no matter how hard you may try, you can’t fix it or go back to it. (sadly no one has perfected a time machine. Also may be a good thing. Have ya heard of the butterfly effect )
Living in the past means that you don’t get a chance to see all the great things that are happening now. Nor will you imagine what great things will happen in the future.
It is ok to remember the past, but it is not good to live in the past. Accept the past for what it was.
4. Putting Yourself Down
This is not good for your mental health or your self-esteem. You are great.
Make a list of all the things you hate about yourself, go on Google and figure out a way to fix them.

Make a list of the things you love about yourself. Write them on a sticky note and put them around your house like on the mirror and fridge. This will help boost your confidence. You can also do this with motivational quotes.
This seems like something that would not be harmful but it is for sure bad. Overthinking causes much stress and anxiety.
Most of the time you are thinking of negative things like money or looks. You are spending way to much time in your head. Again you are not living in the present moment. You are focusing on your past mistakes or future problems. This is never a good thing.
